An element of boldness is to do things without hesitation. Hesitation can be defined as the act of pausing before saying or doing something. Boldness lacks hesitation or the act of not doing at all. Summer 2019 has been the season where I am dancing more with these elements within my personal leadership.
I feel that we are in a season as a culture where some are simply craving the truth about various issues. Not only are they craving the truth, but they are craving your personal stance on the issue, as it pertains to truth. In my own experience, I often align with a leader because I want to know their opinion as it pertains to what is actually occurring around me. And I hope that I can be a leader who can do that for others. I want to share without hesitation, so that others can find handles and anchors in moments and seasons of confusion.
The most effective way that I can continue to share without hesitation is to take a head and heart dive into the realms of Scripture; the Truth. I want to read and share with those circulating questions in mind. This practice is for myself and equally for others. I truly believe that others want to know… without hesitation. Since the beginning of time, people have always found themselves in confusing situations and looking for answers. The questions might have shifted over time, but people are still searching. Right alongside these seekers, however, there have always been leaders who spoke. I’m sure a few can easily come to your mind.
Because God has blessed you with a Bible to read and a platform to share, I encourage you to share without hesitation. May it not only be an honor, but a deep motivation to share and speak. As you and I practice this, I pray we find our confidence in not only what we say, but where we found the answers, the very Word Of God.
Just as men and women have led by sharing without hesitation in the past, I believe the torch can be carried on by you and I. May we read, pray, and speak because many are inclining their ears and hearts for truth.
