too warm not to share

too warm not to share

When conceiving this post, I wanted to use the word ‘open’ in place of ‘warm’, for that is really what this content will address. Nonetheless, ‘warm’ & ‘open’ represent the same idea! To get this conversation started, I want you to think of warm things, and then we’ll transition into the concept of open. Warm things! My mind goes to a mug of coffee, the beach, and a fireplace. These are things that I cannot imagine myself turning down or avoiding on any regular day. In fact, I seek these things out when the opportunity arises!

Perhaps it isn’t a stretch of the imagination that this experience could be true of you, your presence, and what you represent as a person. In fact, leader, this is the goal. We want to be so open to people that they couldn’t imagine anything else but opening up and sharing. We are too warm for them not to share. We are too open for them not to share.

How does this occur? How do we remain warm & open? Just like the beach and a cup of coffee, as simple as it sounds, we represent rest. We are at rest and therefore we represent rest to others. First rest, second consistency. When you approach the beach, you generally know what you will be getting. It consistently offers undeniable elements that create the experience.

My consistent words, and your consistent words provide an experience. Our consistent presence provides an experience. Those we lead know what they are saying yes to when there is an encounter, phone call, interaction. This is possible and it is authentic every time, for all time.

Just like the beach, or whatever element you just can’t turn down, let’s be too warm.
